Driving Licence Address Update

Change the address on either:
  • your full driving licence
  • your provisional driving licence
Before you start you need:
  • your driving licence
  • to be a resident of Great Britain - there’s a different process in Northern Ireland
  • to give the addresses you’ve lived at in the last 3 years
  • to not be banned from driving

Please have all your documents to hand as the service will timeout when not in use.

Driving Licence Number

Your driving licence number is a unique 16-character code shown in section 5 of your licence. Example: MORGA753116SM9IJ

Photocard Number

Your photocard number is found on the back of your driving licence. It consists of 10 or 12 digits: Example: ZA60329643

Issue Number

You can find your driving licence issue number in section 5. It’s the two digits that appear directly after your driver number: Example: 35
